Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), based in Pimpri, India, is the first public field drug manufacturing companies’ setup by the Government of India. It was the first company in India to establish recombinant DNA product, RHU-Erythropoietin (Hemax) in 1993. The company inserted new productions like Halpen, Haltax, Hexpan in 2008. Sati-HIV drugs made since September 2009.
The undertaking with its plant at Pimpri, Pune is hired in the construct of bulk drugs, primarily Penicillins, Streptomycin and a number of formulations. HAL has also 4 joint field undertakings of which three units have been upgraded in collaboration with the various State Governments and one with a private field company.
